Miss Wendy began dancing at age 9 in phoenix, Arizona . Upon relocation to Florida at age 12, she began studying at the children's community theatre and then at ballet theatre of Brevard. She went on to perform as a principal dancer with ballet theatre of Brevard, Orlando City Ballet and Springfield city Ballet. She also in off-Broadway dance productions of Cats and phantom of the Opera. She has taught and choreographed at community theatres, West Volusia 's only non- profit dance Performance Company, in 2002 and has been staging the full length production of the nutcracker for four seasons.
Heather Comeau Miss Heather began her dance education at the age of 5 at Pro-Am Dance in Fort. Lauderdale , FL. At 14 she was chosen to be one of the dancers to perform with the Fort. Lauderdale Symphony Orchestra. She also participated in the production of instructional videos for dance teachers. After marrying, relocating to Central Florida and having three kids, she began teaching and directing at local studios. He experience includes teaching adults and children of all ages, choreography and the production of annual recitals. She currently holds certification through Dance Educators of America to teach tap, ballet, jazz, and Acrobatics. Debby MacDonald Miss Debby's training in dance, voice and piano began at age 4. She received the Glen Ford Acting Award Scholarship from Santa Monica HS in California and went on to earn a BA in Fine Arts/Theatre from UCLA. She began teaching in 1975 in many dance and theater programs at various colleges, dance academies and recreational departments in Los Angeles area. She has also worked in film, television and video as a performer and choreographer as well as on stage and on cruise ships. After moving to Florida in 1997, she began teaching all ages, beginners to professionals, actors to gymnasts, group classes and private lessons. Debbie Karras Miss Debbie began dancing at the New school of Ballet in Schenectady , NY from 1974-1983 under the direction of Robin Deet. In 1978 she received a summer scholarship from Joffrey Ballet, where she studied for six years. In 1983 she was accepted for internship at the New York State Institute for Performing Arts where she studied various aspects of stage production. She began teaching advanced ballet in 1985 at Miss Deet's Summer Camp. In 1990 she moved to Florida , met her husband and is now raising two children. She began teaching at our studio in 2000 where she continues passing on her wealth of talent and knowledge. Miss Debbie is certified to teach through Dance Educators of America. Chrisy Neal Miss Chrisy has had a variety of theatrical experience in acting and singing ranging from choral shows and vocal training to leading roles in theater productions. She graduated Cum Laude in 1986 from Seminole Community College after recieving a full scholarship in the theater. Julie Yadanza Miss Julie Trained locally in tap,ballet,jazz,lyrical and pointe from the age of 11, receiving the Dancer of the Year Award in 1999. She has been choreographing in middle and high school and continues to choreograph in various productions at Shoestring Theatre.Miss Julie has won awards for drama at the Florida Thespians Society Festival. She will shortly receive a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida majoring in Theatre with a minor in dance. Her future aspirations include professional acting and choreography. A favorite among our students, we are proud to have her with us for another season.
